That illegal 'illegal' bill that won't become legal 09:37 - Mar 13 with 2434 views | Oldsmoker | This all makes sense to me now. Here's an article where people are saying the quiet part out loud. This Bill by Braverman has no chance of becoming law and the Tories know it. It doesn't matter 'cos they can/will blame the lefty wokes who oppose it for destroying the bill. https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/opinion/elevenses/elevenses-exposing-the-torie

That illegal 'illegal' bill that won't become legal on 21:15 - Mar 13 by Plums | I can't stand Leigh. I had a row with him about the Poll Tax back in the day. He was widely rumoured to be the inspiration for Alan B'stard. Knows the square root of fck all and gets elected by the blind faith of the good folk of deepest Lincs with virtually no opposition. A lot of his type around sadly. I love the Alan B’stard reference, I’d not heard that before.

After the Prime Miniatures visit to France where he agreed to cough up £480 million to pay French police to 'control our borders' there was no movement in the position of the EU. As mention above it might help if the government employed more staff to process those arriving and who are already here. However as with lunacy elsewhere 1000's of staff have been moved to sort out the stick insects absurd 'cancel all laws Bill' The absolute idiocy of this nonsense is explained here - https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/mar/09/ministers-brexit-house-of- The real problem the UK faces is not these migrants. But stupidity. A brexiter (I assume) thick explained to me over the weekend that 'we should put them on a plane and send it to Paris' When I explained there was nothing to stop them doing the same, he git angry It became obvious that any reasined argument, or pointing the huge flaws in the guff hre was spouting was not going to cause him to think.Even ytyhe fact that around 160,000 Ukranian migrants do not seem to have taken all the jobs, or houses. None of these are economic migrants, I asked whereas those on the boats all are ? Some how these red wallers, brexiters, rightie thickos have a grievance. They need a simple answer, anything else is unable to be grasped. So it is the brown migrants. White East Europeans previously the cause, now they are OK. And like heroin addicts they learn where to locate their fix. Stuff that probably poses a far greater danger to the rest of society. I fear it will be just as hard to wean them away from this toxic level of ignorance being peddled. It almost makes you year for the days when the stupid were told the cause was the devil.... and all his works.

That illegal 'illegal' bill that won't become legal on 08:29 - Mar 14 with 414 views | DJR | Interesting to note that 44 Tory MPs did not vote on the Bill at Second Reading, and it can't just be down to pairing because only 12 Labour MPs didn't vote. This suggests some misgivings on the Tory benches. Just a shame none of them had the courage to vote against the Bill.

That illegal 'illegal' bill that won't become legal on 08:54 - Mar 14 with 397 views | DJR | Here's a good take on the Bill. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/mar/13/suella-braverman-policies-are-c Perhaps the most telling passage is the following, from someone who worked for the Tories, and is not afraid to call the Bill racist. Ali, who came to the UK 32 years ago with her family, said they would have been criminalised if they had arrived under the planned legislation. “The bill that Suella Braverman has put forward means that anyone like me who escapes from war and comes to the UK to claim asylum is a criminal. “The focus from Suella is on criminalising the victims, not the perpetrators of trafficking. Women who are trafficked should be seen as victims, but under this law, people who are trafficked would be criminalised,” she said. Ali said that the plans to send people to Rwanda posed difficult questions for her while she was a Home Office adviser, but “at least there was due process”. “As a former refugee of colour, if we can provide generous help to Ukrainians escaping war then I think we need to look at ensuring that we also provide routes to anyone escaping conflicts,” she said. “If we can find room for a white child but not a black child, who are coming here in similar circumstances, it is racist. It is really painful if we believe that people can seek refuge if they come from Europe but not elsewhere. “If we can provide safe and legal routes for Ukrainians, we should do it for other people as well,” she said.

Though actually didn’t the Tories make even the Ukrainians jump through hoops to come here, and even then the numbers are relatively small compared to the rest of Europe (especially neighbouring Poland). If they are consistent about one thing it’s that they don’t like ANY foreigners. This after turning a blind eye to Putin for years, turning the London property market into a Russian Laundromat for his pals, as well as pocketing a few dirty Roubles for their party.
