I thought Haaland completed the game and played a few days later for Norway?
I love Keane on the tv, brilliant insight in to the mentally required to succeed at the top of club football.

4-1 is a tonking, but I remember thinking Chelsea didn't look to deserve to be that far down. Had Chelsea have some clinical player(s) in attack, they would have been had 2 by half time. All Chelsea needs is clinical attacking options and a manager who can get the team playing as a team instead of a set of individuals and they will be right in the Europe race again.

And perhaps an owner who will allow the Manager at least a couple of seasons to get things right.

Since Mourinho left for the first time in 2007, Chelsea have had 15 Managers (some of them the same person going back, not counting very brief caretakers). An average of 60 games each. Even the relatively newly-installed McKenna has had many more than that.

OK, the Watford throw-enough-sh1t-at-the-wall method has had some success, but ultimately it's landed them back 11th in the Championship, precisely where they were when the present owners took over.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Still a disgusting and cowardly tackle even though I loved him as a player.
Poor manager too.

Well I guess it some record to have. Helped one team hover above relegation and if this season had been longer I think Chelsea would’ve been down there too

Makes you even more grateful to have someone like KMcK - the two are chalk and cheese

Probably fortunate that he didn't think Town's budget was big enough in 2018.

What do most managers have that the legend that is Lampard doesn’t? Well for a start, tactical knowledge. Look at his managerial record you two bell ends.

yeah but youre missing why those two and the rest of the media give Frank such an easy ride vs some unknown from Germany.

its because theyre mates with him, just like Harry did, Frank knows how to work the press corp so theyre always on his side, either by leaking stories about players, team selections early why Gerrard shouldnt be picked ahead of him etc etc, and why those idiots are incredulous because he's theyre buddy and has been for years, of course theyre never going to criticise him, because criticising him would lose them their inside access to him

Probably wouldn't have been as disastrous as what we DID get, to be fair.

Probably.

Very fortunate, I’d say. I’d had enough with ‘Roy Keane’s Ipswich’ to last a lifetime. The last thing we needed then or now is a Lampard, Gerrard, Shearer big name. The last one was only given the poison chalice of Newcastle for a short while and the other two are living proof that a great player does always mean a great manager. The skill sets are different.

But I bet if for some reason KM was to leave, there would be plenty of people that would welcome Lampard.

But those people will probably be wearing yellow and green football shirts.

There are 10 British managers in the Premier League. 8 of the bottom 10 teams in that league are managed by British managers.

Frank’s career for the next twenty years could well be to act as Chelsea’s interim manager whenever they sack their permanent one.

His management career has been a funny one - did alright at Derby and the first spell at Chelsea, then it fell apart. In truth, he shouldn't have left Derby when he did and gained more experience at a lower level. The call of Chelsea was too much. And the second spell as driven the nail in the coffin.

He should accept the punditry rounds now. Gary Neville failed at Valencia, yet still is one of the most high profile pundits going around. Keane, obviously, is another. The likes of Richards, Carragher and Wright never wanted to or got the chance to give management a go.

I think that it’s a shame that Ian Wright isn’t involved in coaching. He has such an infectious positive personality that I think he would act as a good teacher for youngsters.

Regardless of whether he gets an easy ride or not........

........Why do people revel in his failures?

I don't understand the spite.
