Oh the irony.
On the 1st July 2023 the first stage of the Tour de France takes place.
La Tour finishes on the 23rd July, over 3 weeks later.
That's 21 days of racing.
It's the only sporting spectacular worth watching this summer.

You could have said the 14th July - Bastille Day so no doubt some French riders in the breakaway on a day full of 4000m climbers so will be a day for the GC riders or one of the sprinters stage were a Cav might break Merckx records for most wins - Cav bowing out with a win on the Champs-Elysées would be a fitting finale for his career. | | | |

The Senior TT. Just checked out the qualifying times from today. The lap record holder, Peter Hickman, went through the Sulby speed trap at over 202mph today. That is a new top speed record, so I reckon the lap record will get smashed if the weather holds. For anyone who's never been to the Island, it is unlike anything you will ever see anywhere. Other forms of racing are just tame by comparison. |  |
