This was one question to Phil but ended as a thread with over 20 messages, some answered for Phil, some completely different topics. It’s like asking your mother a question only for her to go on for about 15 minutes ending on how details of several friends children and their goings on (you’ve never met said friend let alone their children).
Does everybody's Mum do that? Thought it was just mine.
I do get a run down of all the people who have died recently too.

He may well have known something was afoot but was asked to sit on it by the club.
My point was, there's no point starting a thread to ask Phil if there's any news. If there's any news (he's allowed to write) he'll write it in an article. He's not going to just hang around until someone on the messageboard asks him!

I agree with your point re: questions on a messageboard - that's just a very different point to the one you were making yesterday that if Phil had any news he'd write an article.
We have to accept that one of the downsides of Phil's closer relationship with the club is that we won't get as much news of signings in progress.

No. Effectively, my original post was;
"If Phil had any news he's allowed to share, he'd write an article. It's kinda what he does."
Or to put it another way, "Phil doesn't share big news stories by waiting for people to ask him on the forum, he writes an article."

Ignoring your need to get abusive for barely any reason, no-one asked Phil to confirm exclusively that the deal was done - they asked him for any thoughts.
There are umpteen examples even in recent weeks where on similar threads Phil has responded along the lines of 'no it's not true', 'they're using us because we have money', 'nothing in it' etc. So had we not been in at the very least advanced negotiations re: Taylor - Phil would have said so quite happily.
So as Metal Hacker and others have eluded to - the lack of a response from Phil on this one WAS as much an answer to the question as it could have been - which in turn makes the post still rather useful and interesting and your post oddly angry and defensive.

I made a tiny and harmless comment that if Phil has a story he prints it... and you decided to jump on the fact that I hadn't said "if he's allowed" and have been having a pop about that several times thinking you're clever. You've changed that tack now trying to look more reasonable. Basically you were looking for a rise, trying to start an argument, and then plead innocent when I snap.
Let's not forget you're one of the posters who wanted McKenna out earlier in the season, so I think we all know what we think of your opinions on anything.
