How do people feel about selling the naming rights to Portman Road?
Dearest Edward has been a great sponsor, but I can see us signing up for a new bigger, longer term deal next year. I'm going for the Mediterranean Shipping Company Arena.

Me too.
East is east and West is west.
I call it the East stand nowadays although I did used to stand in the Chicken Run with my dad, back in the day, and we both called it the Chicken Run. | |

Having read earlier comments
Portman Road can’t be renamed, it’s the name of the road. The stadium can be called whatever they like for sponsorship and marketing purposes. I will still be going to Portman Road no matter what the stadium is known as. If it’s an appropriate sponsor, there is nothing wrong with ‘The INSERT NAME Stadium on Portman Road’.
I have no issue with stand sponsorship but cant shake The North Stand, Churchman’s, Portman Stand and The Pioneer.

Yeah it's like Upton Park. Don't think Ive ever heard anyone call it the Boleyn Ground but it's near Upton Park station so that's good enough |

I still call all 4 stands what i knew them as when I started going.
When MA arrived he gave a speech about his wife saying ‘never change that stand because they’ll never forgive you’ history heritage etc… what I’ve come to learn is MA is full of sht for the cameras, does a great job, but morals, na… not there. But each to their own [Post edited 28 Jul 2023 6:41]
