Always felt he was too good to be a number two, and might move on... but now his chance has come to shine.

Good with his feet, and has a great shot top in him.

Just needs confidence and a run.

Let's back him with some songs on Sunday.

Ok. Going to choose to believe you on this but you've gone all full on meltdown today on a load of post and even the comments section. I think you care and I think the pre-season wobbles have struck you!! Breath dude. You've had a right good spell recently IMO. Don't go full ridiculous again 😂

Care to share where in posts today? I've literally not been negative about things. Esp to say a load of posts.

The comment section one wasn't negative tbh more of a comment about ffp.

I wonder if we’ll keep hold of Hayes rather than loan him out now? Or will we gamble and be prospered to go down the emergency loan route if required.

Didn't we sign 3 academy keepers too? One of those possibly could step up and wouldn't count in the squad numbers.

This thread and then just two I saw in quick succession:

"Basically the clubs skint now due to ffp and we need to work with what we've got as we can't compete with other champ clubs for players who actually cost money".

"An injury that's just fked our whole season and relegated us back to league 1"

I mean....

You've literally ignored the 2nd paragraph in the post about Walton. It was clearly in jest as I the 2nd paragraph showed which again you've not included
"Also known as an unfortunate situation but one we will overcome"
In jest at those on social media who have taken the Walton news as the worst thing ever. Thought it was clear with the 2nd paragraph but clearly not.

The ffp discussion isn't negative. Its just how it is, well how I see it. We have our limitations. Its no different to a large % of champ clubs. Those who spend more are clubs training players. We've cancelled contracts and haven't had any funds in of note to give us the ability to spend to compete with other clubs for certain players.

That's not negative. Just how it is.

I really hope im wrong.

But I can't get that brief spell he had in goal for us in league one. He was horrific and looked terrified of the ball. Im hoping the time working with gilmartin and the other GKs he has really improved. The back line need confidence in the Gk

That was, literally, years ago, and a lifetime in footballing terms. Different team, different players, different manager. Different everything!

Hladky’s lack of height worries I have to say, especially given we are imho, weak in our CB’s ability to deal with balls into the box.

I’d say we’re significantly weaker in defence since this injury to Walton had been announced. Sod it!

Allegedly i.e. according to Wiki, just over 6 ft 2in.

And more crucially... a team of complete strangers thrown together.

He does seem like a confidence player though, so we could do without a rickett early on.

His two performances against Burnley if the FA cup last season were absolutely superb - looked supremely confident, made some great saves, helped soak up long periods of pressure and was excellent with the ball at his feet.

I have absolutely no concerns about him being in the side for however long he is needed.

Thats true, but ultimately he has played so few games between then and now this is essentially a jump from league two to championship in terms of being a regular goalkeeper.

With every fibre of my being though I hope he makes me look like an idiot and has a really successful spell between the sticks.

This was the article I was thinking about.

McKenna: Not Many Keepers Better With Their Feet Than Hladky 27th Jan 2023 15:33
Blues boss Kieran McKenna has praised second-choice keeper Vaclav Hladky, who he believes is as good with his feet as any number one in the country. 11

Can we have this one please. Making me nervous.
