Love the two tone contrast of orange shirts amongst the blues in the stands

And how many other teams have rallying chants about their manager!

Speaking about the rallying chants - I do wonder whether, in "We've got Super Kieran McKenna", we should change to "Hirsty in attack", rather than Ladapo.

Hirsty in attack ladapo knows the crack, he’ll still come on and help us win the league.

‘Hirsty’ or we could just use his actual name, George hirst.

But agree with others, until Freddie does leave whenever that may be, it doesn’t seem right to replace him in the song.

That'd mean replacing Woolfenden in the song, which would be a bit odd.

Fair point to those who said now's not the time to remove Freddie from the song.

Five more observations from yesterday! on 17:47 - Aug 13 with 3845 viewsunstableblue

1. I’m liking the new trap doors and pit behind the North Stand to store the behind goals nets and training goal

2. The new pitch still has ‘tracks’ in it where the natural grass hasn’t quite matched the synthetic lines

3. There are three ‘young execs’ in shirt and tie, sitting on a bench between the two dug outs - any idea what they do?!

4. The blacked out Cobbold looks miles better and contrasts well with the blue Astro and green pitch, the exec boxes roof has also been painted and looks better without advertising

5. I didn’t realise that the glass of the Cobbold boxes could be ‘wound down’ there were 3 or 4 with people on display?!

I genuinely couldn’t tell the difference between the old and new pitch. However, the pitch being bigger was really noticeable for me as my seats used to be dead in line with the by line of the North stand end.

Re; point 5, there’s been a few of the Portman exec boxes that can wind the window down for probably 15-20 years now, if not more.

Last season I actually had an ear worm thing going on with that song. Drove me nuts for a while.

There’s only one or two I think.

The ‘execs’ in between the dugouts were media/club personnel.

The pitch is no doubt given the groundsman a massive headache. They would 100% ideally not see any difference between natural grass to the synthetic stuff. It's going to be very difficult to solve that this season with the games coming thick and fast unless we've invested even further on more light units.

I don’t think there’s any issue there.

I do know that they have had to put a lot of extra fertiliser onto the pitch because we have had so much rain and the pitch is so free draining it has been washed through before the grass can take it up.

Three home games between now and the end of September isn’t that thick and fast.
