Although they haven't started the strongest, I do expect them (and Southampton) to largely start to come into their own once the initial relegation hangover is cleared. Their manager knows this division well and is a quality coach, they are still investing wisely into their team and they will be backed by a very vocal away support.
We need to be up for it like we were against Stoke, both on the pitch and in the stands, be loud, be hostile towards them on the pitch and back our team all of the way. If we play like we did against Stoke we can win, an early goal will help us greatly I feel.

I disagree. It's a bit of a free-hit, nobody will be unduly surprised if we don't win.
At the same time, if we do, I can't see this changing anything for the way McKenna approaches games. He won't allow the players to get ahead of themselves.

I live in Sweden, my neighbour (also English) is a Leeds fan so last season we watched most Ipswich and Leeds games.
Leeds are truly awful, badly run lackluster team. Ipswich would have beaten them last season had they met in the cup.

Well that is the optimistic view and of what we want to happen. I prefer to take the pessimistic view still at this stage. We have won all 3, but there are signs that this team is not strong enough for this league yet. QPR should have gone 1-0 up last week and we were very lucky they didn't. If they had it would have been very difficult to get back into that game. |
Sorry Penney’s, can’t agree with that. For sure we cannot be complacent, but I really can’t see why we need to be pessimistic about the game. There has been times when we’ve ridden our luck in games, but we’ve beaten Mackems and Stoke, two teams that were expected to be strong.
So no need to be pessimistic, but that said, this will be a test and once more we’ll need to be on our mettle and have a bit of luck to get a win from this. An early goal for us would be ideal.
As with other games this season, I have absolutely no idea how this will work out. I certainly don’t ‘expect’ us to lose, but neither do I ‘expect’ us to win! Still feels too early to call form and predict with confidence. Give it another 6 or 7 games and we’ll start to see a pattern. All I can say at the moment is ‘so far, so good’! |  |

On the other hand this is a mishmash of players who tumbled out of the division above because they are useless supplemented by some payers who dont yet know who they are playing with. They have been singularly unimpressive so far and Farke will be high up on most peoples’ list to be sacked before Xmas - and has a pretty thankless task.

I'm not buying into all the bigging up of Leeds either.
Sure we mustn't be complacent but we are an incredibly together squad with huge upward momentum and we're playing at home. And although Leeds were two divisions above us 12 months ago, they are not a compact unit, they have big downward momentum and they are playing away from home.
Anything from 3:0 to 0:2 is possible but I'd be disappointed if we don't win.
I predict two goals for Town and one for them if they are lucky.

Hey all! Leeds fan in peace. Amazing start you guys have had. I've been very impressed and well, momentum and high morale is a hell of a thing. I think it's fair to say you're our biggest test so far, and I believe we'll be yours.
I'm aware from the outside it looks like we've been poor, lost tons of players and there is no reason to fear us but with Gnonto refusing to play, Sinisterra left out for contractual reasons and practically not having a single striker (Rutter is a winger) we've been pretty barebones and lacked any of our x-factor players.
With Sinisterra, Gnonto, and Summerville all available (with us now having an actual striker in) that should hopefully see us kickstart our season. This game might have come too soon to see them all start? but the mood around us now is we're heading in the right direction again and we still expect to make 3/4 more signings.
