That would work if everyone in a polity lived for ever, no one was born to add to the electorate and no one ever changed their mind about anything. Unfortunately for your argument nation states are constantly evolving entities (and even increase and decrease as a result of migrations which can involve former citizens of nations oppressed by the nation they are moving to.) So, I guess regrettably for you, you are going to have to tax your brain a little and consider some value judgements based on the current state of things rather than relying on a narrative (that might be subject to a variety of challenges anyway.) |  |
