All of us have a price. If the treatment cost isn't considered viable, it won't be made available.

That's why sometimes people have to raise their own funds to get life saving treatment elsewhere.

You're just trying to get a reaction aren't you?

Some of us are more valuable than others and the poorer have a lower value?

Or are you simply dodging the question rather than answering it?

Strictly speaking, you won't get it if it is unlikely to be of significant benefit rather because it is expensive. Certainly in this country, cost is less of an issue than you might believe.

The theorretical cases you cite to prove your point are usually for exceptional, very rare conditions.

Not quite sure why anyone half decent would be so keen to defend bigoted, corrupt and incompetent criminal sociopath Boris Johnson, but there you so.

The likes of JRM don't consider poor, sick, disabled, otherwise vulnerable or BAME people to be human though.

Judgements are made on economy/freedom Vs health and safety all the time. It's the reason we don't ban all alcohol, or impose 15mph speed limits everywhere.

Johnson's attitude was to essentially allow national speed limits on residential streets and outside schools though.
