I know this hasn't been the strategy under gamechanger so far nor do I expect it to suddenly change, a few people have mooted a player like Keiffer Moore who would probably do a job
But what if a more high profile player became available?
The gamechanger personnel have had the likes of Drogba and Shaun Wright-Phillips at Phoenix Rising and that may just be a publicity stunt, however don't rule out these guys pulling something out of the hat here

What's good for Phoenix isn't necessarily what's good for Ipswich. We don't need publicity, our ground isn't big enough for us as it is. The golden ticket for us is promotion to the premier league, that's where the big return is. In the US the remit is very different.
We need players who will give us the best chance of picking up 40+ points in the last 20 games of the season. We've made decent progress in the window so far, I like both of our signings for different reasons. I very much doubt McKenna, Ashton or the Gamechangers would bring anyyone in as a passenger, especially when there is a promotion at stake (which isn't the case with the USL).
That having been said, I think Drogba was more than just a stunt, with his personal/professional input as well as playing ability being a boost for the team. However, it would be much harder to gain that kind of an edge in the EFL Championship. |  |

I agree that is the plan, but a short term loan of someone who has previous in this division shouldn't be ignored.
Firstly, I'm not suggesting for one minute this is going to happen as he is out of our wage budget, and I can't think of anyone else right now, but if say Ings was available on a loan, I'd much rather go for that, than an up and coming 20-23 year old player in League one currently to lead our line. | | | |

Piggott predates McKenna?
Camara has been unlucky, everything has gone wrong there.
Ball hasn't quite worked out, not that he has ever let us down really.
Scarlett was a gamble but probably worth a roll of the dice
Williams is too early to say, when he had that little spell and scored that goal, he was starting to appear unstoppable and I suspect he'll still be very important for us this season (if he isn't recalled) [Post edited 8 Jan 2024 20:48]
