Which is the point. The boot isn't on the other foot. We are the better side, so no need to worry. We will be top 2 anyway.

We’re cursed on 22:00 - Jan 20 with 1062 views | jayessess | There are seven teams scrapping for two play-off places - West Brom, Coventry, Hull, Scum, Watford, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. We've played all of them and I'd rank them as follows in terms of difficulty for us* : West Brom Watford Sunderland Coventry Scum Middlesbrough Hull If we've got to be in the play-offs and I were picking the opposition, I'd happily go with playing the fifth-best team of the seven in either semi or final. *Notwithstanding the results, just judging their performances [Post edited 20 Jan 2024 22:21]

We’re cursed on 23:02 - Jan 20 with 1008 views | Churchman | If we are in the play offs, I’d be over the moon if we played that mob. We are a much better side and over two games I don’t think they’d have a hope in hell. In fact in a one off game, an awful lot would have to go for them to beat us, as it did when the scraped their draw and went berserk enjoying their ‘victory’ celebrations in December.

We won’t if we don’t bring in a striker

We’re cursed on 08:37 - Jan 21 with 808 views | Bluespeed225 | What with this first half of the season going so well, we may have lost sight that it’s US who are the surprise package, US who the other teams are thinking ‘ffs , they won’t go away’, it’s US who are the fly in the ointment of three powerful ex Prem teams, and clear of established, experienced Championship teams, so they will be more concerned. Who were we playing this time last year? Enjoy the ride!

We’re cursed on 20:54 - Jan 20 by Nthsuffolkblue | That's not how bookies' odds work, though. It means over the season so far, more people have put money on the likes of Leeds, Southampton, Ipswich and Sunderland to be there. It has little bearing on the likelihood of it happening. |
Yes, the bookies odds work off the sentiment of the punter. However the sentiment of the average punter is nearly always correct. Otherwise we would all be professional sports bettors making a fortune off of the bookies. Plus where the money went at the start of the season has no baring on the odds you see today. Ipswich are 3/1 to beat Leicester. If at HT town lead 1-0 they will be drastically lower than 3/1 and the money that went on before will have had no influence on the new price you see. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Which I am sure the backroom staff are doing all they can on. If we don't, it won't be for a lack of trying. Think we can all agree, it is a fantastic place to be in.

Yes and no, we’ve needed another forward since the end of last season, clear just Hirst wasn’t enough. If we don’t bring in an adequate forward, and finish the season with a whimper, clinging on to 6th, I’m not sure it’ll be seen as a fantastic place to be. We’d be chuffed of course, and anything can happen in the PO, but we do need that forward

Think it's unlikely we're going to collapse to the extent we finish 6th and are clinging on to it. Since Hirst got injured we've won one and drawn two in the league as well as winning our cup game. It's not like our season has entirely crumbled since he got injured.

If we don't then someone has to take responsibility for failing to sign another striker. But that's IF. Regardless of the whole this is real life not football manager stuff. Their jobs is to recruit and KM will not accept being told sorry we tried. There's still plenty of time left and I don't see us not bringing one in... but I don't personally think it's right to hold the belief that if we don't it's not for the lack of trying.. it just wouldn't be good enough from a recruitment team. But. I still have hope we will get Gallagher who is that hirst goal contributor signing and 1 other.. maybe it will be moore. It won't hurt to have the two.
