I am seeing a young player with the potential to have the work rate of Jackson and Harness, the strength of Hirst, the directness of Hutchinson, the finishing of Chaplin, and possibly better in the air than any of them.
But it's early days, and those thoughts are based on YouTube highlights reels.
What I do like to see is the way, as a 20 or 21 year old, he was able to outmuscle hairy assed, seen-it-all, brutish League Two Central Defenders. That's rare in such a young striker. |  | | |

Since the change in ownership, we had…… Norwood, Pigott, Jackson, Ahadme, Simpson, Bonne, John Jules, Ladapo, Hirst, Scarlett, & now Alhamidi. We are certainly looking for a jewel in the sand. What is Buabo like? Haven’t seen him play yet, missed the final ten minutes on Saturday. |  | | |

I think If ahadme wasn’t injured we might well of seen him back, been playing well in league 1 7 in 20 for a below average side and not long turned 23, there is a player in there for me still. |
Could it be a Hladky-type scenario that Ahadme comes good eventually and becomes the main man ahead of Al Hamidi? Nothing would surprise me anymore, but we're all expecting a big upgrade on Ahadme. | | | |

Hard to compare a 21 year old and a 30 year old. However, when Freddie was Ali's age he was kicking around at Hayes and Yeading and Kidderminster mustering 2 goals in 19 appearances. Al-Hamidi has 23 in 42 at a higher level.
So at the age of 21, Al-Hamidi certainly looks on course to exceed Freddie - doesn't always work out like that, but considering we have spent a fair amount on him, I would hope he is an upgrade for sure |  | | |

I don't want to sound too harsh, but my issue with Ladapo is that he plays for Ladapo. He is an opportunistic finisher, but he plays with blinders on and he doesn't create many opportunities. That was good enough when we were dominating inferior competition last year, but we need more up front against Championship opposition.
I don't know if Al-Hamadi is an upgrade right now, but he can't really be worse? If this is one for the future, then so be it.

McKenna hasn’t given up on him yet - which he did within a few days in Ahadme’s case and a few weeks in Ladapo’s case. Throw in the bloke from Posh who has been an expensive mistake since day one and you might say. Fourth time lucky… but extremely doubtful

Not sure how long it will take for "enthusiastic Town ;supporters’ (sic)" to turn on him, but I reckon they will at least see him kick a ball first.
There might be some elephant with plenty of negativity towards him on the day after he signs, though. I am not sure "elephant in the room" is a very apt name at all. |  |

I haven't looked back at his forum posts in that era - which, granted was pre franchise! Can;t say i'll bother - think I'll just have to pop him back on the 'Div list'. | |
