It’s the performance more than anything. So much of our play is slow & ponderous and in front of them. So often we allow them to get 10 men behind the ball. They seem to be able to break quickly, why can’t we? [Post edited 10 Feb 2024 14:44]

We’ve gone downhill since key absences of Hirst, Burgess; earlier Morsy, (and I’d argue JD too). Which does rather endorse the views of those saying our squad’s a bit thin for maintaining an automatic spot challenge compared with those getting parachute payments. |  |

But there were a few occasions when we’d got the ball forward into a good position and then just put our foot on the ball and passed it backwards, losing all momentum & allowing them to get everyone back behind the ball again. | | | |

If a team plays a low block then it's up to his to find a way past it.. sometimes it may be that the movement ahead of us is not quite there.. teams have worked us out a bit now too, I'd say | | | |
