Plymouth don’t like us much. 17:47 - Mar 2 with 7286 viewsChurchman

According to one of the Pasoti forum faithfull:

‘We didn't punish them when we were on top, and they score a fluke goal that knocks the stuffing out of us. There's not an awful lot that can be done about the second.

Ipswich have done it all season - been second best for large spells and come out on top with fluke goals, own goals, penalties, missed pens, offside goals, legitimate opposition goals disallowed. Sunderland, Coventry, us (twice), but the list goes on. Good luck to them, if they get what they want this year, they'll finish 20th next season and be playing us again 👍’’

Others feel the ref was in our pocket and our disgraceful intimidatory play went unpunished.

Phil: I think you need to rewrite your report and the club buy 14000 tissues for their meagre support to wipe away the tears.

Plymouth begin to irritate me now. They’re in trouble too, looking at the table.

Oh dear, never mind, as Windsor Davis would say.

I think they tried to stifle us by going down at the slightest touch. One of the omari ones was right in front of me. Not a foul in a mllion years.

Galloway was terrible for that, wasn't he? Quite glad he got the own goal after that first half performance. Players were clearly getting frustrated by it and the referee did seem to get more of a handle on it in the second half, waved away a dive on the edge of the box, if I remember rightly.

The plymouth supporter I was sat with, who is an ex ref, and assessor (non league) was as baffled as I was by a couple of them.

Hence..... are forums the right place to judge what a typical fan thinks?

Or do we systematically pick out the most stupid one-eyed posters and regard them as typical?

On this forum, the ‘simple section’ of contributors by and large tends to put the boot into our own players and team when things go badly rather than the opponents - bar our friends up the road and current competitors of course.

A generalisation and view to be challenged.

Just had a look at the latest posts on their forum🙄they are still moaning about how dirty we are apparently we committed 22 fouls more than double of any other team going there! I might suggest that stat came about mostly from the muff players throwing themselves to the ground at any opportunity 😂 but what do I know ?COYB

As Steve and Texters have said, all the ones we encountered to and from Plymouth and in the pub before were genuinely friendly and more than happy to chat and socialise with us, they laughed at the keyboard warriors who seem to have to much to say on-line.

How did texters take to them laughing at him?

I've seen a club throw themselves to ground at the slightest touch so often and we played in League One last season

Is that something their new manager has introduced?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
