Can't ever remember consistent rain through all of February and March like this before, long range forecasts for April do not look significantly better.

Because I’m old, and therefore boring, I’ve got a weather station in the garden.
Average rainfall around here in March is 55mm, just checked and we’re on 108mm with three and a half days to go.

Feb was also double the average.

I've become a massive weather bore as I've got older, but this winter in Suffolk has had about double the usual rainfall too, and that's on top of what was a really wet Autumn.

That said, the last week or 2 here has been decent, for March anyway.

Fancy another 100 mm or so in the next 2 weeks?

Not really. Will be too soft underfoot for some ride on mower action!

I’ve not checked anything scientific or looked into it but it’s something I have noticed and mentioned to family there and here that every time I’m watching anything from the UK … sport, news… etc its always raining and heavily so too…. For months, I’ve never in the last 7 years away from Blighty mentioned it before… purely as an aside I have not felt or seen rain in 7 years but then it is a desert city I frequent.

Have you seen the comet yet?

12P/Pons–Brooks - I tried to image it but unfortunately it's been so cloudy that time has been short and it's now at a very low altitude. I did manage to get an image with my smaller scope but it's not great, can only just make out the tail but the weather has been against me:
