If he goes now, he’ll really go down in my estimations. He’ll basically be setting us up for a fall. He brought this team from League 1, cohesion and inside knowledge of the team will be a major contributor to if we survive this season.
Next season is a totally different kettle of fish. But this season really stings and feels like he has dropped us right in it.

But he isn’t a charity. Brighton is a good job. Top class facilities. Stable squad. Bigger wage. He could’ve gone to Palace mid season but chose to stick it out to try and get us up. If he leaves now we could get someone in with plenty of time for recruitment and a full pre season

Yea I know all that. I know how cut throat football is etc but I still think what I think. Like I said next summer I think there is no ill feeling attached, now feels like he’s been a huge help in getting us in the EPL way ahead of schedule only to drop us when we needed him the most. We’re so unprepared for this that swapping a manager in closed season when there is a major tournament which doesn’t leave us with a lot of time is putting us in a precarious position.
I’m not really prepared to lower my expectations around what I think is right and wrong because of norms in the football industry.
