If so, your thoughts please, on overall experience and if you would recommend going

Poll: If ITFC were to be relegated, would McKenna be poached to manage in the Prem?

Similar intention.

However, I think they confirmed it quite late last summer.

They did and it wasn't the original plan, in fact I think it was Plan C or D, if I remember rightly. We had a couple of other games pencilled on for that weekend which fell through. Bordeaux and Aberdeen, I think.

Went as a couple. Flew to Munich for a night of fabulous beer & Schnitzel. Slightly hungover, took a 2-hour train trip to Innsbruck for 3 nights of, er, beer & schnitzel, mostly. Very few people at the game(s), so no problem getting in. The next day we saw a local league match at the same ground. Took a trip up the mountain using funicular + 2 cable cars. Came back via Munich for more beer & Schnitzel.
Brilliant trip, highly recommended (as was the earlier trip to Vienna).
If flights are expensive to the closest airport, trains are regular, inexpensive and - in our experience - reliable.

Thanks for this.

Is Innsbruck the nearest airport to the ground?

If the game is in Innsbruck then yes, very much so!

I didn't think we had announced where in Austria we're planning this time around. Do you have an inside track?

I know the club have said they're going back to Austria for preseason but a rerun of the Innsbruck Cup hasn't been announced has it?

Poll: How many points do you think you'll need to get a ticket for Norwich?

That sounds right, as from memory there was a gap between the Austrian training camp and the Innsbruk cup, meaning the players returned to the UK and then travelled out again. When surely the training camp would have booked to coincide with the tournament dates?

Or have I got that wrong.

As a plan C or D is was a really good one, as the opposition was good and a real test. And it was a chance to prove ourselves at the higher level, and get a bit of a confidence boost with the win.

I hope it’s repeated, or some similar tournament.

Any other friendlies being discussed Phil? Beyond Fortuna. Assume no Col U this year due to their level. It would be mobbed with blues as per last season.

Poll: What level of support are you bringing to Portman Road today?

Fortuna are going to be feeling a bit bruised after their horror of a weekend!

Only reason I could think Town might play at Colchester is if Tom Eastman were to be given a well-deserved testimonial.
