Kayden Jackson released on 21:10 - Jun 3 by Dubtractor | Wish him well wherever he ends up. Never let us down, and put up with some bloody terrible managers. Love that his career here got a bit of a resurgence under McKenna, and hope he can go and get regular football elsewhere. |
The club have put out a nice compilation of his best bits. People also forget that for the first half of the 2019/20 season he formed a bloody good partnership with James Norwood before Lambert decided we were too vulnerable with two up top.

Kayden Jackson released on 05:23 - Jun 4 with 764 views | Ryorry | Speaks volumes that so many of us, including myself, ended up taking him to our hearts and are extremely sad to see him go. A constituent in a group, all of whom under KM played their part in a double promotion to the Prem, something he and they can always be proud of. Thank you Kayden, all best, will always keep an eye out for you wherever you go 👍

Kayden Jackson released on 08:45 - Jun 4 with 709 views | BloomBlue | I was shown a Leeds fan podcast a week ago, mainly to show me the view of one idiot who claimed Leeds were the best team in the league even though they finished third, because they beat us and Leicester twice. Anyway... There was another part of that podcast where they talked about how they felt throughout the season their Leeds subs invariably never changed games. One of them was defending the subs saying some of them often spent 5, 6+ games sitting on the bench, only getting the odd 5-10 minutes and you cannot expect players to be totally motivated in that situation. I thought then how that was the same for Jackson, sitting on the bench, but the difference was when he came on he always gave his all, and did help change games. A player who genuinely played for the badge.
Kayden Jackson released on 08:55 - Jun 4 with 688 views | itfcjoe | I remember watching him in pre season playing for the U21s at Bury Town when he was in the bomb squad - still put in the same effort and still lacked the same quality at times! I was always frustrated that he wanted to play as a 9 and work from in to out, there were flashes under Lambert when he played with Norwood that the right sided forward role really suited him and played to his strengths, had he got there earlier and focussed on that (similar to Freddie Sears) he could have had a career at a higher level (ie a regular in the Championship) as had all the attributes. Hopefully he still can from here, Paul Warne tried to sign him a few times at Rotherham so maybe a move to Derby suits him now - but he's been a top bloke, embraced the community and always put in all the effort despite the stick.....and turned into a very reliable and effective player under Kieran McKenna

A really great lad, hope the last two seasons have set him up for life. Ditto JD, albeit I am some what shocked that he's not on the released list!
Kayden Jackson released on 08:58 - Jun 4 with 678 views | pointofblue | I'm so sad about this. Probably the right decision but, from a sentimental point of view, which we'd given him one more year to play for us at this level. Hope he builds and grows his career further. Will be watching with close interest... as long as he doesn't go to Norwich. Best of luck, Kayden. And thank you.

Kayden Jackson released on 09:36 - Jun 4 with 632 views | OldFart71 | I think we must pass on our eternal thanks not only to Kayden but to all that have contributed to the amazing last two seasons. It is always sad to see these players whether they have been with us for a long or short time depart. The old saying "Time and tide waits for no man" is never truer. Just as the greats of the past, the Paul Mariners, the Jonty David Johnson and everyone past we treasure their contribution to the history of ITFC. Sadly for us all there comes a time when we are no longer needed. We will be replaced. When it comes to football it really does accelerate the need for change especially when the requirements of a player are, shall we say, higher than a player is capable of. We wish those that have now departed all the very best and at the same time look forward to those coming in keeping the good name of Town up where it belongs. Thank you.
