Had a set of Bose noise cancelling that have gradually worn down over the years and need replacing.

Looked on Amazon, and prices inevitably go from one extreme to another as you'd expect. I want something decent but don't want to be paying silly money like north of £200.

I have to have over ear because those in ear ones hurt me and keep popping out.

I bought a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 a couple of months ago for 199 and they’re great. Currently that price on John Lewis.

If you don’t mind the extra admin get them from Very, sign up to very pay to get 20% off but remember to immediately pay them off!

You can't go wrong with the HiFi Man Shangri La Sr Electrostatic Headphones Full System

Competitively priced too.

Or a decent pair of Sennheissers.

Got a pair of those myself last week and they're very good compared to my old Sennheiser pair. Got them for £200 at john Lewis too.

Many years ago I had some Sennheissers you could plug into the speaker sockets.

Depends what your preferences and use is.

My preferences:
- Not too much pressure
- Good mic for conversations
- Wireless
- Reletively inexpensive

My use
- Talking to people at work for prolonged periods (headphones can sit on my head for 8hs in the day).
- Playing games
- Listening to music

I use
- HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless

There was a really good website my IT team sent me where I could see things like the relative pressure on the head, etc. But I can't find it now, sorry.

I actually bought a pair Bose recently for 200 from John lewis. I rate them. Obviously is all subjective, but I'd definitely recommend if you liked your original bose. They are the QC45

Depending on what you use them for, I'd recommend Shokz if you use them for running

Not running, unless you count treadmill. Mostly when I'm walking around, hikes etc.

All of the pairs of bose's I've had over the years can have new pads fitted really easily, I've done it on QC35's and NC700s as well as another pair from years ago.

If you are happy with the headphones, new pads will make them look like brand new.
