I heard it suggested it'll take a 7 figure offer to get him out of there. Seems like a mad world when Sammie Szmodics is worth £10m+ if you ask me, despite last season. He's 29 soon and although we're clearly not afraid of spending that sort of money, its generally been on younger players with resale potential.
I've not yet become sufficiently desensitised to premier league money to accept paying £10m for him. |  | | |

This is one I'm really unsure about, although you have to assume McKenna knows what he's doing. Was 5'6" Szmodics's 27 goal season a fluke? At 28, he won't have huge sell-on value either. I don't see him playing as a lone striker so he looks set for the no.10 role, where we are already well stocked. |  |

If you look up
His history...only 14 goals in 5 years with a few clubs. Then in two seasons with Blackburn 32 goals Iin 78 games...so definitely could be just a one hit wonder .definitely not worth anymore than 7.to 8 million.. | | | |

Stewart was a season and a half wonder. He helped us get promotion - which as the point of the signing - and then had a brilliant first season in the PL (more as a result of his link up play suiting the team).

I can't see they have a particularly strong hand at all. He will be desperate to make the move - works geographically and no other Prem team (or maybe any team) in for him. Ah yes there are some precedents for middle-aged EFL players going for a fair old whack. I do wonder how often buyer's remorse followed these purchases though, and double digits on Szmodics would make losing out on Philogene feel all that more sore.

Yes Andre Gray did well at Burnley, but not particularly well at Watford & they ended up loaning him out to QPR. | |
