I'm glad you got to experience some Swedish football!! Although there's only one team in Sweden to watch for atmosphere.. Hammarby!!!!
I have had a season ticket in the "klack" for 10 years. Constantly selling out every game in a league that is utter dog logs!
The tifos are massive and more impressive week after week. Flares, smokebombs, flags, bog roll.
I guess they need the entertainment to get through the football. What I love most about their chants is that nothing is about individuals. Everything is aimed at getting behind the team. A collective effort!! I'd love to invite Blue Action for a game to get some inspiration on Tifos and crowd chanting choreography.
If anyone ever wants tickets and a trip to Stockholm, DM me!! Hammarby v Djurgården at the end of October!!!

Corr, i'll hold you to that..!
From what I gather the Swedish FA learnt quickly that they'd never be able to compete with the big European leagues financially so decided to concentrate on the 'spectacle' to get bums on seats. The ultras are well facilitated over there - and look at the results...
We're light years away from that. In complete contrast to Sweden, this country is determined to suppress its atmosphere generating fans as much as possible. The enlightened approach at Crystal Palace is very much an outlier. I got told off for utilising a megaphone at the Fortuna game, for crying out loud (literally, har har)...
