Yes I'm one of those that still play this addictive football game, however the excitement of town being in the prem made me eager to get my early access closed beta code activated and the game downloaded.
Now I don't know how much updating is left as we basically have last seasons squad but to see us on some dirty low ratings with a lower average than Norwich left me very annoyed, and worse than that we still trundled out at ivy bloody lane. The games gone. |  | | |  |

I haven't owned a fifa game since Fifa 22 (when it became free on PS+ at the end of the season) and haven't actually paid money for once since Fifa 19.
I now despise the game. Fifa 18 was really good - but to be honest the game for me died after Fifa 19 when they introduced the game scripting (where suddenly your team would be either exceptional or absolute dog-shoite without any change in how good the player actually was) and started only focussing on Ultimate Team money grabbing.
I don't care if Ipswich are now a PL team on that game. They will still be impossible to play with and you'll still get spanked online by every 15 year old picking Man City or probably Real Madrid. And no, I don't have the patience for season mode. | |

Morsy and Chapers 75/75.
Hutch 73/85.

I now despise the game. I don't care if Ipswich are now a PL team on that game. They will still be impossible to play with and you'll still get spanked online by every 15 year old picking Man City or probably Real Madrid. And no, I don't have the patience for season mode. |
18 had a great soundtrack but not a great game although I did always buy the then high potential Dozzell for Forest Green and turn him into a legend there. Ipswich were impossible to manage back then. The board objectives were crippling especially financial and when they were promoted their budget was £6 Million. It's was like Marcus Evans was in charge. In the next game take the £1 Billion financial takeover and buy Lautaro Martínez, De Ligt, Musiala, Rice, Kobel, Leao and Theo Hernandez and convert either him or Leif to be a right back. Convert Chapers to play LW and Johnson to play CDM. That should be enough to finish mid table. [Post edited 7 Aug 2024 4:49]

That’s a shame. I’m a grown man who still enjoys Fifa (I still call it that). I can get to Div 1 on season mode but never stay there. My 5 year old has been very excited to see Ipswich on the new version so I’m gutted there has been few if any changes. | | | |

Will always be a PES man.
Much prefer the realism of a scrappy deflected cross being bundled in through a sea of bodies that someone bagging at the end of three rainbow flicks.
I last played FIFA 19 properly in Career Mode. My kids have had every one each so I play the odd game against them but a few minutes into career mode in FIFA 20 I left for good when a rather portly looking Scunthorpe centre back, with a rating of about 51 ran past about 6 of my team doing flicks that prime Ronaldo would have been pleased with.
I had found it unplayable for years but with the sliders I could at least make it more realistic. It's a shame that PES has been so good on the gameplay side but FIFA had the graphics, kits and stadiums. If you could have blended the best of both you'd have been near perfection but both have major issues.
The reality is it's now a business and quite rightly not aimed at me any more. Never going to be buying packs for Ultimate Team. But a while back both games side by side were really decent plays. | | | |

FC24 got Ipswich into Premiership bought Messi then laterly an older Van Dyk and Cole Palmer now in Champions League.

Portman Road will be in the game but will be delayed which is not the fault of EA. They cannot do a full scan until the work is done and then it takes a lot of work to program it into the game. [Post edited 7 Aug 2024 9:45]
