Guehi to Newcastle for £60m+ and with Olise gone and Eze off likely off too, you can see them really struggling this season

Glasner is a great manager though so they'll be fine. They've replaced Olise with Sarr which is smart business and if they lose Guehi and poss Eze they'll have decent funds available to ensure they bring in good quality replacements, they'll not have any troubles this season

They are like about 10 other teams where a few injuries and bad results could stick them in a battle for survival

Funds and 3 weeks to spend it. Not an easy task and if you see a club selling all your best players that doesn’t exactly make you attractive to new players.

They were one I thought was going to push on until everyone started to leave

Agree, can’t see them being in bother at all. Won’t be a surprise to them that they’re losing those 3.

Think this is a conversation for 1st september as only then will we see the damage that has been done to the cpfc squad. Personally, I maintain they'll be fine but only time will tell, in the meantime we really need to focus on itfc and hope we bring in sufficient quality between now and 1st sep to be ok this season

And other clubs might well think that Palace might well be desperate to bring in replacements and will hold out for a lot more than what their players are worth.

It’s never easy to replace one good player never mind three.

Every little helps. Still need an update on cheating Leicester’s points deduction. Should start on -15.

As it stands, we are still fairly light as well we know

After the early business, I thought we were going to keep up the momentum but the transfer business drying up is a bit worrying

We want most of our eggs in the basket before we are playing competitive games. I appreciate it isn't always as simple as that but you don't want to be playing catch up and bedding players in when the season has already got going.

The group is fairly together and has a system it plays to, which might help them ride through it but it's a massive baptism of fire getting Liverpool and City straight away

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

That is the reality of a money-driven, money-doped league. All ‘small clubs’ are asset-stripped of their best players. If they unearth adequate or good replacements they’ll be off too.

Same will happen to any Town players IF any of them look good enough.

In other words bigger clubs come calling when players perform well at smaller clubs - well that never happened before the Premier League.

Indeed, shows the difficulty in keeping a lesser PL out of the relegation scrap as even if you recruit well, you know your best players will be enticed away & one year, your replacements won't be up to scratch.

Glasner is an excellent manager. They won't be anywhere near the bottom, even with this news.

Palace are very good at player recruitment and development. They probably have some good replacements lined up.
