Great players. But midfield is covered now.
So it's about that lw place really which can be Covered by szmodics. Hutchinson. Think if we were another signing there then it doesn't leave a gap for those two really.
Think sentiment gets in the way when discussing who stays who leaves. I just look at positions and who's been playing against those being signed.
We've already signed competition/ replacement for RB/LCB/RW/AR/AL. Striker soon and Looking for a rcb and I did also say better now and Feb, so included the Jan window in my thoughts too. [Post edited 16 Aug 2024 17:17]

With 9th signing Cajuste to be confirmed imminently, McKenna has reflected on a busy transfer day and his thoughts on the window going forward (please see Phil's article). It's a surprise to some that we've made as many signings as this already, let alone that our manager believes we still need both quantity and quality through the door in addition to the soon-to-be nine.
As posters mention above, we hit 25 with Cajuste's announcement. And yet "we know that we need to improve the depth of the squad first and foremost in terms of the numbers, that still needs to improve and we know that we will still look to add different qualities over the next couple of weeks". Unless McKenna is henceforth targeting permanent signings born after 01/01/2003, it must be the case that a number of current players fall outside his final squad vision.
Ladapo for sure, Humphreys unimportant in respect to numbers due to his age, then it gets more awkward. With McKenna openly discussing numbers at this stage of recruitment, maybe we will see deeper cuts to the 23/24 squad than previously thought. My guess before today was Ladapo +2, now I'm less sure it won't be more. | | | |

Definitely not going to get rid of Harness until/if other players come in. Especially as broadhead is injured and Harness is actually quite versatile.
Taylor to be sold? I'm not sure. Maybe loaned but I have a feeling we might play 3 midfielders instead of a number 10 in some more difficult games and he could fit in that.
Broadhead won't be sold, hes injured. I doubt anyone would buy him.
Woolfie is surely not going to leave. His club have got in the premier league and hes got a chance to play and probably will play some games. | | | |
