How can we improve on yesterday 16:39 - Aug 18 with 3060 views | muhrensleftfoot | First half we were great. 2nd half our intensity dropped. We're supposed to be a super fit side but it was definitely down on 1st half. Liverpool however were superb. Their passing and movement 2nd half probably as good as we'll see all season. That's what we need to learn from and aspire to. Not despondent at all. We'll improve as the season progresses COYB

Sneaky feeling we’ll get a draw next week. And if someone wants to unfurl a massive *115 banner that would be lovely

Arf! Bannergate at Brighton seemed to help propel them to a period of success. Maybe the trick will work for the plucky Mancunian underdogs too.

How can we improve on yesterday on 20:21 - Aug 18 with 2461 views | BloomBlue | Score more goals than the opposition. I always liked Sir Alex's advise 'football is simple, and the only stat that matters is goals scored versus goals conceded. If you score more than the opposition you win' In all seriousness in the first half we played really well, won virtually all our individual battles. A bit of composure in attack, ie Hutch only needs to play a short simple ball to Chaplin, Chaplin rwould then receive the ball on his left, great opportunity for scoring, but Hutch fluffs it. We need to make sure when we have those chances in the Prem we execute them correctly Second half Liverpool changed shape and tactics, which dragged a few players out of position leaving too many gaps. In the Championship our superior fitness often wore down the opposition and meant we recovered from losing positions, in the prem all teams have high fitness levels, we will need to learn to tweak shape sometimes in games to stifle the opposition. Also covering will be key, ie Leif's assists will be as important this season as the last 2, but when he is bombing forward another player has to cover. But we will learn, the players have been learning during the season successfully for the last two, KM will make sure that continues.

Yes Diaz had Tuenzebe dropping early and deeper than the other guys a couple of times. Credit to the Liverpool strikers.
How can we improve on yesterday on 23:03 - Aug 18 with 2015 views | Garv | - Make more of our half chances e.g the Hutchinson breakaway - Take a couple more shots (thinking of Delap when he took that incredible touch down the left wing on the bounce and then tried to find Chaplin) - Get our injured players fit, integrate our new players...and sign a few more players! Our lack of depth showed, particularly after Burns went off, we didn't have much down the right side until Omari went out there for the last 10 mins. - We did a lot of chasing because Liverpool kept the ball so well. If we can improve our ball retention ourselves that might help us have the odd breather. Phillips should help that and I wonder if we might see more of Taylor over Luongo for the same reason.

That’s a really good point and, as much as Leif handled Salah very well in the first half, had he dropped earlier in the second, neither goal would have happened. Lots to be pleased about, but finer details to work on.
How can we improve on yesterday on 00:15 - Aug 19 with 1841 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | We played the first half at a hell of a pace and Prem fitness is a different level to the champ, will take time to adapt to that, but we will get there. I also think that with Phillips, Cajuste and then I imagine 3 more signings perhaps, that squad will look a lot stronger. No disrespect to Ali, Harness, Taylor etc who didn't disgrace themselves when they came on, we need to have, and will have better options on the bench than that. I think yesterday one of the little nags I had (and it is a little one as it was a very positive performance) we seemed to lack a bit of composure around the box. snatched at passes, certain areas we didn't make the right choice, but nothing we can't fix. And as already mentioned, Offsides for and against. Liverpool did a super job second half constantly playing us off. But all those things, McKenna will work on and we will improve. I think yesterdays game gives us a great platform to work on. Few more additions. A striker and left sided player notably, and we will be a decent outfit.

How can we improve on yesterday on 01:25 - Aug 19 with 1779 views | Hugoagogo_Reborn | McKenna said post match that we need to work out how to play when high press gets exhaustive, so to speak. We need to work out a game plan when our very fit players get too tired pressing extremely fit, top 6 Premier League players. That probably wont yield results against Man City, etc, but will allow us to compete very well against mid to bottom level Prem teams.
How can we improve on yesterday on 09:52 - Aug 19 with 1318 views | hunty21 | We need better options from bench from a pace point of view to maintain that intensity as subs have always been key hence why wen need 2 more attacking options or atleast a winger as burns be out for months now
