Outside of the usual contenders, I wonder if Harry Clarke might get a six month loan to a top half champ side. He seems to be third in the pecking order at Right Back and will need game time to regain his fitness levels after surgery.

I like Harry. Good player, very aggressive, great character. I’d keep him in the squad. Given the demands of the PL I can see him being used.
Fridge, Freddie, Taylor and Harness to move out permanently or on loan for me.
Harness has impressed me when he’s come on and KM clearly likes him, but as with the others he needs and deserves first team football. |  | | |

As it stands we only need to trim by 2. Ladapo is a shoe-in, which leaves one other, presumably Edmundson. If Broja comes in, we’ll need to trim with another. I’d be surprised if Harness or Taylor move out so the obvious choice would be Slicker and cover with one of the under-18s!?
Broadhead’s injury will mean Harness stays. Taylor’s versatility in the 8 or 10 will likely mean he stays I imagine. | | | |

Edmondson also looks likely. Still think McKenna views Tuanzebe as more of a centre back than a right back, so Clarke will probably stay.
The third departure all depends on whether we sign Broja or another striker. If we do, think it'll be a Championship loan for Al-Hamadi, which would be good for him.
If not, McKenna has a hard decision to make - but my hunch is he'll retain Harness over Taylor, just because of his work rate, flexibility and the depth he provide to that all important three behind the striker. |  | | |

Burgess was fantastic for us last season and can cover the left side of defence, so I think he stays for now. Think Ladapo, Edmundson and Al- Hamadi are the one's most likely to be loaned/sold. If we sign a striker, I dare to say and I apologies right now, even Chaplin could be sold. When all fit, Burns, Broadhead, Hutchinson, Szmodics, Clarke, Harness and Delap gives us a lot of cover in the advanced roles. I know this will cause a bit of a stir, but does Chaplins start in the 10 against Szmodics, Hutchinson or Delap? Sadly I think not. Hirst and new signing up top, with Delap as cover there as well and I am struggling to even put Chaplin on the bench. Can't believe I am saying it so soon after coming up, but the truth is, we have signed a lot of players to cover that area of the pitch. Want him to stay and deserves to stay, but reality will dictate. |  |

2. Sit out his year here but not play.
3. Accept a move, maybe with Town giving him a small pay-off.
Aged 31, I think getting a 2 year contract somewhere might be in his interest. He would be daft to sit out his last year here, so a deal or a loan are most likely. |  |

Agreed. His run against Liverpool was fairly decent, his first touch impeccable but his body shape and shot showed that we need someone more clinical. Alisson made the save but it was going well wide even if the offside flag hadn’t gone up. | | | |

In recent years we seem to have been pretty good about releasing players so they can sign elsewhere on effectively a free. OK, we may lose out on a few quid, but fairly small beer for the markets we're now dealing in. |  |
