That's it ..no strikers ..no chance now .?? (n/t) on 23:26 - Aug 30 by positivity
that's right, wind the club up now!
what percentage of our goals last season did our "strikers" get? 6 or 7 apiece for moore and hirst and a couple for aah & ladapo?
It's not about the goals from the strikers. It's about the hold up play, bringing others into it. We now have to hope Delap stays fit until Hirst is up and running because we have no one else on our books who can do that role. If he doesn't, then McKenna's going to have to change tactics on the fly.

that was unlikely to change with the targets. nelson isn't a hold-up man and broja is unlikely to be fit before hirst is back

You mean do his job? I think he's ok at that.
Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Hirst is literally returning to training in the international break.

Nah, we're just going to go old school and stick big Cam up front (the way he took his penalty the other night, if any Prem keepers try to stop one of his shots they're going to end up in the back of the net with the ball)
Massive over reaction but we are heavily reliant on both Delap and Hirst to stay fit. We need two quality strikers each game. One to come on 60 minute mark so they can both play with the intensity we need. Al Hamadi is not good enough at this level and does seem a big ask to expect both to stay fit until January. It has been a miss step to have devoted so much time to Broja and should have moved on and ensured we had a third quality striker in the squad.

How do we know how much time has been spent on this bloke and who we’ve missed? And why? We don’t. It’s speculation.
They’ve just said in Sky that Everton’s forwards are injured or injury prone and they’ve just brought in another who failed a medical here. I doubt we’d have folded the deal unless there was a reason. I doubt it’d have got as far as a medical if we’d known the truth of it.
Seems to me Chelsea tried to mug us off. For that reason alone I’m happy we said no and the bloke has hobbled off to Everton.
People might be right in not having any faith in what the club has done and is trying to do but I don’t think they are. It’s better to to leave a deal alone than do a bad one. If a player prefers Fulham, great.
I’m only interested in players who want to be here. Regarding the players we’ve let go and loaned, that gets our squad down to the required number and none of those who’ve gone are PL standard in my view, even though they’ve been great contributors and characters. I wish them well.
