West Ham Ticket Sales 'Profile' 09:17 - Sep 13 with 8075 viewstommcd

Assuming a 'sell-out' today (the day of the 15+ window opening), the Ticket Sales 'Profile' for the West Ham fixture is as below:

2661 seats were available for purchase within the 'points-based' sales windows (our full 'allocation' minus those reserved for the ballot, hospitality, players families and probably disabled/carers places).

748 (28.11% of available seats) seats sold in the 30+ window.

946 (35.55%) seats sold in the 25+ window.

846 (31.79%) seats sold in the 20+ window.

121 (4.55%) seats sold in the 15+ window.

Points of note:

* Higher volumes sold in all Windows (vs Soton), probably due to higher 'appeal' (ease-of-access, new stadium for many, etc).

* The 'peak' sales Window for West Ham was 25+, previously (Soton) the 'peak' window was 20+. Is the shift of the 'peak' an 'anomoly' due to the 'appeal' of the match? Or is it a 'trend' due to members moving en-masse up through the tiers? Too small of a result set to be sure one way or the other.

* Brentford up next, probably will be a very short 'profile' as I would expect to see very few tickets making it through to the 20+ window. Maybe there'll be a new 35+ window introduced soon, the 10+ and 5+ windows are pretty much redundant anyway...

I'd be surprised if anyone without memberships got many - if any - tickets last season. Perhaps Middlesbrough or Blackburn, but I reckon they were about the only ones that went to general sale weren't they?

The system is about as fair as it can be. Although I do think what would have been especially fair would be to have taken a 2-3 year record (since the Covid season probably) to better cover those of us who have been traipsing round the country for the past 20 years when tickets certainly weren't in high demand (the amount I spent on Gold Cards, only to get special invite e-mails anyway for the few Norwich matches, and that Wimbledon game that were rationed anyway!!). Still - it is what it is, we all know the rules and the people who have put in the hard yards in the crap times are now getting some just rewards, even if it does mean I can't bring friends or my wife to the odd game any more...

Despite having a membership i held back for general sale to ensure i could go with my non-member friend at Preston away.

The 2% ballot is almost pointless, it needs to be higher (5-10%) to make it less insulting as a "gesture" (but probably still well oversubscribed).

Memberships will be down for season ticket holders next season in the 10+ crew, non-ST's will likely be stable unless people get hacked off with the home ticket 10am stampedes

Southampton didn’t sell out at the 15+ bracket so I assume you’ll be there for that?

I suffered the same this morning, couldn’t get a ticket, but no one is being barred from watching their team.

Current system is perfectly fair.

Those 42 tickets in the 10+ bracket.... Only time it's dropped below 15+.

The issue isn't the system as it is quite fair, it's the minimum and maximum capacity of 3,000. It shouldn't be a thing. Am I right in saying that the scousers didn't take a full allocation at PR earlier in the year? I get the price cap etc causes that too but my gosh, football likes dumping on the fans and then trying to appease a bunch of supporters who watch in china or tourist ticket bs.

It's just bullocks from the bigger clubs. Sighs, sometimes I really hate football and what it has become.

….I’ve just realised that I’m already (amongst many others) in the 15+ priority window for next season.

Really highlights what a “closed shop” away matches are now.

Oh well.

Having a lot of local(ish) games early on has definitely put a few people in that bracket. Only one long trip so far and two more London games going on sale in the next few weeks.

Preston, Blackburn, Boro, Cardiff, Bristol City definitely all reached general sale. Maybe others too (Saints, Reading Rotherham?)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the ~300 tickets that don't make itnto sale (presumably comps and ballot, though the ballot tickets could in theory be excluded at a later stagea)

I don't disagree, but if the ballot was 10% for West Ham then the game would have sold out at 20+ and you'd have some fairly loyal fans from last season pissed off.

No system is perfect, but this one at least rewards the most deserving.

But that wouldn't have affected your own buying record - you'd still have got the point AND your membership points?

Swansea did too.

I held off from buying a membership this year as I can't get to too many games a season. I wanted to wait and see what the chances would be like before spending the £40 which looks like the right move as I was on 12 points and It looks like I wouldn't have stood a chance with that. I'll buy 2 months of Sky sports instead!
