Great striker. Villa had sold their best striker Andy Gray and the feeling was Villa would struggle that season, as they had replaced Gray with an old timer in the shape of Peter Withe and a young kid from their youth team with no first team experience, Gary Shaw.
But they formed a great partnership and Villa had a successful season in 80-81.

While that was a decent Villa side, I still find any recollection of that season, when they effectively stole the title from us (although not their fault) too painful so I remain unwilling to give them much credit. |  |
