Did wonder who Dilberry was!

I thought Dibling looked good midweek too.

Agreed, tbh saints have been very good over the years at producing top young talent, won't be long before he moves on to a top club especially if saints do drop

Might want to invest in some shin pads… this isn’t the seventies…

A shame we can't integrate Cam Humphreys in the same way.

I think he may well in time but we tend to go down the loan route and play it rather safer. Maybe he isn't seen as being quite up to it yet too.

EDIT: Plus, a little harsh to describe it as insane!

Ha! Typo. Edited to same.

Cam is nearly two years older than Dibling but behind him in his progression. He really should have been sent out on loan two years ago.

Think with Humphreys physically he seemed a bit slow on the growing side of things. This summer he seemed to looked like he had a bit more steel about him and grown physically a bit more. Maybe that's why we've kept him close rather than letting him loose as potentially he'd just be pushed aside.

At present he seems to have been doing really well on loan and this could be the making of him.

a niche perspective

Or maybe Dibling is simply a better player?

Cam is doing very well at Wycombe, and clearly has the great opportunity for a decent career in the game (which is a fantastic achievement in itself) but maybe not quite at the very top?

This did annoy me immensely. Surely that contravenes rules and he shouldn't be allowed on the pitch?

I fear that all our current youths have been overtaken by our way more rapid than expected rise. I can’t see any of them making it with us. Hopefully we’ll see it with the next generation though.

Think that’s a fair assessment.

There are plans to ramp up the academy and it is significantly behind where we are as a club and in order to maintain momentum we need even better players coming through this route.

Right. If we played Omari of a year ago in The Prem he would have got eaten for breakfast. This year he is smouldering threatening to catch fire.
