Yet again how on earth was that referred to VAR?.
Well done ref for showing some balls.

Why was it ok for da silva to impede the goalkeeper first?

Surely that should have been disallowed

Don’t be. If Southampton and Wolves can’t walk through the door marked “Get closer to 17th place,” then that’s their own fault.

I suspect Palace will take at least a point tomorrow though.

I don't see where the debate is whatsoever. If we're talking offside, which I presume we are, Silva is nowhere near him at the point Stones heads it.

Apparently the lino flagged it offside?? Cameras didn’t show it nor the commentary mention that.

Wasn't really impeding and was onside at that point too.

Radio commentary mentioned lino raised flag after some delay prior to going to VAR.

Some are being a bit too quick to praise a referee for sticking to an on field decision.

Lino raised the flag as from his view a player was offside, through a VAR review it seems the referee established that the player in an offside position in now way interfered with the goalkeeper view or ability to make a save. Now that is a good use of VAR.

Did not mean the offside, i meant before when he was leaning into the keeper putting him off

So you want a foul?

In that case you'd surely want a foul at every corner?

For the good of the game I'm glad that goal was given as he certainly wasn't interfering when Stones headed it and before that it was a minimal block - you'll see far more contact on every other corner this season. If Wolves want to blame anyone blame the defender.

He' in the keeper's line of vision, in an offside position, in the six yard box from a corner. How is he not interfering? Offside makes zero sense to me anymore.
