I was there for the cup match in 89. Think we filled one pen in the old Bridgford end. 8 years previously we filled two.

Our away turn outs late 80s had no rhyme nor reason to them. Anything from 400-1500. I used to estimate them judged on how many Eastern National/Galloway coaches turned up at PR in the morning.

Was there also. Lost 3-0 I think? Lots of blue and white balloons as was the cup tradition.

Yep. Yallop own goal after 2 minutes.

Not the best start.

Galloways didn't start until Spring 1990.

Before then it was the yellow and green Eastern Nationals.

We had 2 pens in that game. We were crammed into one, then 10 minutes before kick-off, they decided to open a second. Followed by a stampede.

Health & safety? Not that day!

Funnily enough another game where we had two penalties which just came up on you tube an hour ago that I’ve not seen before.

You probably can tell by the score we did not score both

How come we wore white? Thought teams back then always wore their first kit unless it was a colour clash?

For those watching on black and white TV

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

You're right I was there that day. Was that the one David Hill had Neil Webb in his pocket? Even though we did take a hiding

I would have thought David Hill would even struggle to keep his car keys in his pocket.

A somewhat more friendly meeting than the league Cup game to come!

Indeed. Both at home & the replay where Osman got sent off fighting with Simon Steinrod in front of us.

I was there in the Burley years when Van Hoydonk (sic) bent one in from about 30 yards out.
