£33,000 a year on benefits!!! 06:19 - Oct 31 with 9101 views | gtsb1966 | Yes I know the lady has a disability and wants to work but can't so it's not a dig at her but that's a ridiculous amount of money. Millions don't even earn that working 40 hours a week. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyv8y68e25o [Post edited 31 Oct 6:21]

£33,000 a year on benefits!!! on 17:54 - Oct 31 by BanksterDebtSlave | Hmmmmm......how about smaller profits? |
What record profits - a handful of MN commodity firms. You missed the fact that inflation has driven a record number of SME’s out of business in the UK in the last couple of years (more than in the GFC). That’s the wider story for the economy, and where MOST people are employed. Does nobody read ffs, much easier to steam in with a dogma filled, irrelevant one liner.

Pfttt the Royals had a mere 87m out of the public purse last year. Nobody would ever visit London without them…or something like that.

There are plenty of reasons why financial improvement does not trump having a support network. I'd rather be skint than lonely and without people I love around me. However, that doesn't mean I'm happy being skint. As a self employed business, I've suffered multiple times over the years losing contracts out of the blue because people can no longer afford the service I offer and give little notice before dropping you. Maybe I should have had a crystal ball to plan my finances better or move to another town and start again. It's never usually that simple. Dislocation and disconnection are some of the root causes of dysfunction in society, particularly in the mental health and physical health sectors. Relocation or 'better financial planning' are rarely realistic solutions to complex situations. [Post edited 31 Oct 19:18]
