Wasn't that to stop points holders buying tickets specifically to get to higher brackets and then selling them on though Phil? I don't think the club have yet outlawed people simply asking if anyone has one available have they?

ITFC: "Under English & Welsh law - The Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994 - it is illegal to sell, or to offer to sell, or transfer tickets to matches without the authorisation of the Club, or outside of one of our authorised processes" Cheltenham Blue: "Hold my Beer" People are still blatantly buying tickets to maintain their points level. Open your eyes, the club are attempting to control this.

I get the need to control these things , but sometimes fans have a genuine reason , especially nearer the day of the game , this can happen for any game regardless of the points rule . Just chancing my arm that’s all. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Why not him? If he’s asking, he’ll likely be in peoples minds. I know if I see one on Twitter he’ll be my first thought.

I am not saying why not him but there is a system in place for a reason. Fairness. Also, it's beggy as. I get there is the whole don't ask, don't get but it's some bs. Enjoy your play on twitter, you must be the only real person left.

That simply isn't true Phil, they just do not want to be seen to be allowing it (as other clubs also do). There are many outlets that have been selling and buying ITFC tickets all season and if the club really didn't want it happening they would at least be spot checking people as they go in so the name matches with the ticket...as far as I'm aware they don't.

‘Beggy’ It’s a football fan asking for tickets, he’s not tweeting players with a sob story. ‘Playing’ on Twitter has seen me get tickets for every away game for mates who didn’t have them, so yeah, seems to be ok to me.

Club clearly wouldn't condone it and I would assume would be looking to put a stop to it if at all possible.

I'm interested to how this works. Do they/you ask on Twitter, or do you wait for people to offer? I'm assuming a lot of it is last minute/on the day?

I’ve got mine on 17points thank you very much , and I am genuinely asking for a friend, give ya head a wobble and take a chill pill . I could have quite easily been on more points by buying tickets and not going , but I haven’t , but I guess many have .

Normally stick out an ask if anyone has any last min drop outs for away game X… Then if someone sees it I might get a message, or a heads up to message so and so. There’s a load of people that try it, so join the party 😃

Aren't you allowed to give your ticket (free) to family or friends if you can't make a game? I've always done that as has everyone who sits around me. Completely unenforceable unless the T&Cs state you can't give anyone your ticket, which would be draconian and weird. This is where I'm informed I'm not allowed to give my ticket to someone else, arf.

But it is possible to put a stop to it. Check ID as go in or like I sat spot check at least to make people think twice. But they have gone further the other way whereby in the auto turnstiles people can get kids tickets and sell them as adult tickets knowing they'll still get in. Happens for away tickets too. I'm not complaining either way, just pointing out what's happening and the club would not be naive enough to think it doesn't. They very very clearly turn a blind eye to it.

I was about to ask that. What if someone can’t make the game and they offer you their season ticket free,or to cover the cost of the game or something. I had a season ticket for years and do to illness had to let it go,but when I was ok again a couple of people used to let me use their ticket if they couldn’t make the game. That of course was in the championship, not the promised land.

Jeez we are talking about going to football by using someone else’s ticket that’s all. It’s been happening for years, people only let others use their ticket if they trust them.
