To lighten the mood and following on from thoughts of window cake, what are peoples thoughts on the above? Which would you have on that desert island given a choice?
We don’t get to enjoy either at home, but I was always partial to a FF - especially the pink ones.
Some years ago in America I was introduced to the Krispy Kreme doughnut, long before you could get them here. What a joyous moment. Ya basic D with icing on top. Still warm. Mmmm. The only time I’ve ever had them here though is when a tray of them was brought in at work if we were doing long hours on something.
I think it’d have to be the KK

It's Battenburg or nothing...unless I can get a bowl of rice pudding, or semolina, or sago, or tapioca. I don't mind a Scotch pancake or a crumpet either. Had a reasonable slice of apple crumble in IKEA this lunchtime. Cheesecake is another favourite. [Post edited 15 Nov 2024 19:37]

It was a staple back in the day (89-92). Every place in ‘nam knew what it was, but in hindsight I realise we were being ripped off, as the pubs all put about 2 inches of blackcurrant in before any alcohol. Never heard of it. The internet says it’s a Wimpy creation of warm doughnut, ice cream, chocolate Oreo cookie pieces and choc sauce. Oh yes, I’d mangle that alright. Looks disgustingly good.
As a kid the ultimate treat at the local cafe after sausage beans and chips was a banana split. Perfection in a dish. Healthy too with that banana! Haven’t had one in years, sadly. [Post edited 16 Nov 2024 0:30]
