Exposed down the right. Again 17:52 - Dec 8 with 1371 viewsbsw72

First goal today felt like a carbon copy of the Leicester goal. The weakness of our right flank is concerning, compounded by the loss of Ogbene.

We have a very good group of players selected from the championship, who are learning to cope with Premier League football but it’s taking time which we don’t have.

We’re almost competing, but frustratingly are too inconsistent.

Today was painful, but predictable in the way it happened.

We are in a much better place than 3 years ago, but losing is never enjoyable.

If Harry Clarke put in the performance Ben Johnson did today there would be 100 threads about it

Johnson looked clumsy with the ball at his feet, and frankly was getting no help from Hutch down that right side. Tuanzebe is a huge miss for us!

Again, much like Muric, there were times when we was really well positioned, nipped in from of Semenyo, won a tackle and used the ball well and then there were times it was the polar opposite.

Again though, if you speak with West Ham fans, they'll tell you, like Muric, it's to be expected.

Semenyo was all over us for much of the game

Bournemouth did have a very potent left side in fairness to them, their left back and Semenyo looked dangerous all game really

Just shows you don’t need to spend £50M on proven PL talent. But you do need to pick the right players and give them time to get used to the PL (Semenyo joined the Cherries from Bristol City in the ‘23 winter window I think). The future could be bright for us if we somehow survive this season.

Precisely, got done so many times. Why not bring on Clarke and push Johnson forward to tighten up the right side

burns protects his right back much better, but obviously hutch offers a lot more going forward.

tricky circle to square, especially with chaplin having such a good game in the more central role

Likewise, if Woolfenden had performed like O'Shea (second half, particularly).

Omari time and time again failed to track the runner inside.

That's another move I would have made, we really should have gone for 5 at the back and looked to make it difficult for them

Cajuste and Phillips would have been the other two to come on and shore it up

The loss of Tuanzebe is brutal to our hopes of staying up. Ogebenne fkd too, Burns not at it, Johnson unable to stay fit for more than a couple of games,…

Doesn’t leave a lot on that side

I was surprised we didn't sign Jaden Bogle who Leeds signed instead

I can't vouch for his defensive qualities but he's fairly useful going forward and was available on a free

Ben Johnson hasn't had a great start to his career at at Ipswich but probably will end up coming good for us, even if that is in the Championship
