Said we were controlling the second half so didn't make subs.
That plainly wasn't the case.
Maybe he misspoke after such an emotional conclusion to the match

His statement is is referring to the fact that Bournemouth were really getting nowhere with their attempts to score , possession yes but actual shots on target very few , until that moment and we all know those type of rushes to the blood from Muric almost certainly costs us dearly, take that moment away and I believe we would have won that game IMO.

Was taking 'not very good' to cover players not fit enough to come on at an earlier point.

From the 70th minute to their goal we had 8 shots to their 2…..but to me felt a game where we just flogged the starters as much as could as the drop off was too big

Agreed. Felt for the first time in a while we really didn't want to make them, but just had to as a couple were dead on their feet.

Backs my statement up , they had lots of possession very few troubling attempts at goal .

I'd argue we were controlling the second half, even if it wasn't pretty, and let's face it they didn't score till we made those changes anyway.

But I felt we should have bolstered midfield sooner

Agree entirely. They didnt look like scoring, though the pressure was building. The answer to that, is get a second, or keep the ball further up the pitch / cut off supply. Which is why he made the forward subs. It was working too.

There were a lot of scruffy shots, when we'd have been better off keeping the ball in my opinion. Game management and ball retention was very, very poor in the final half hour yesterday. Maybe due to fatigue, but a big reason for the turnaround. Watch Morsy give it away for their winner, careless.

Delap being the prime example of that. If a fit Hirst is on the bench he comes on for Delap 20 minutes earlier.

I don't see what he said that was incorrect?

I remember looking at the clock on 75 mins and thinking we'd weathered their storm and they were starting to look a little clueless and ragged. We may not have 'controlled' the 2nd half, but we certainly comfortably repelled anything they could throw at us.

Morsy had a really bad match. I'm surprised more people didn't notice.

I thought so, actually. He lost the ball straight from the kick-off and wasn’t his normal self at all I felt.

Taylor on the other hand I thought was really very bright.

Exactly, we looked like we were really struggling and looked set to concede in the first 15-20 minutes of the second half when it was too early to make a change, and we weathered the storm. We just don't have enough depth to deal with Hirst and Tuanzabe being out. It might also almost be time up for Morsy considering he is not one for the future and Cajuste looks really good. Phillips should be starting, but he hasn't made a strong enough case. Taylor had a very good game and Chaplin looked very lively and took his goal well. Burgess was immense, but couldn't quite save us from the first goal going in and he will be disappointed with that.
