Oh so close but just not quite enough. That isn't at all a criticism as we've been proudly fantastic but it's feels set-up to an honourable yet frustrating finish.

Pretty much sums up how I feel.

There's been a fair few games where we've left points on the table and that really eats away at me at times. We're so competitive most weeks but the difference in a number of games has been 50/50 things that have gone against us or tight games where a single mistake has cost us a point or two.

We should be proud of the lads efforts and they are doing us proud and are putting in one hell of a fight and we all should recognise that. Whatever happens we're going to say we gave it a good go and showed a lot more ambition than the likes of our friends up the road and gave teams really good games.

Keep the faith. It'd feel more that way if the others around us have won yesterday. As it is, a bit of ground gained and Palace the only other beneficiaries. Trajectory's improving. We could certainly do with Forest giving Wolves a walloping though.

We’re going to be fine. We’re getting better each week and our home form is going to pick up in the second half of the season.

Yep and why the oh but we were 2 cms away from 3.1 means nothing. You don't get 3 points for almost.

We aren't going to outplay teams. We know that. So when these opportunities come you've got take them and sometimes that's just seeing things through sensibly and unfortunately to many games have been almosts.

18 to go. We have a chance. But to have any hope we can't gift points.

Felt same for a while BUT this January window is going to be crucial. And getting Hirst and Axel back obviously vital also

Get that fella,
The oh so close ones would probably put us around 22 points, but weve tightened up and still have a great chance of survival,

We are progressing and finding our feet. Improving week on week.

Especially when you factor in our squad depth and injury situation.

Nothing to suggest we can't stay up. More than enough about us.

With a fair wind and half decent Jan transfer window I'm quietly confident.

I’d felt the same and had resigned myself to honourable failure this season. But the last 3 games have given my optimism. Our PPG is going up and it’s reasonable to hope that we’ll do better the second half of the season than the first. Keep this up and we’ll stay up.

If we can get some more depth for the bench I think we have a really good chance.

The options off our bench aren't good enough atm.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

They aren't but we didn't not win today because of the subs. We'd done enough to take the 3 points home.

7 points in the last 5 games despite 4 of 5 being top half and 3 of them being the top 5 in the league.

Keep up anything close to that form the rest of the year and we'll be fine.

Next up is a Brighton team that is stuttering. In the time we've picked up all 3 of our wins, Brighton haven't picked up a single one. Obviously after that comes city and Liverpool, but I feel like McKenna's finding a way to play those tough games better than we have before. I think I still back us to stay up, especially if we get Hirst and Axel fit, plus some cover on the right and up front.

Don't disagree but I'd have had Morsy and Leif off. Morsy for Phillips and Leif for left back option.

Both had wings clipped on yellow cards.

Delap off for AAH drops the team's heads too imo.

Think of it this way. How good are we becoming to be disappointed with a point away at Fulham?

Imagine we drew with Chelsea and won today. Somehow makes it seem better.

We are staying up.

Yeah the lack of townsend minutes has been interesting.

We brought him in as cover yet we never actually see him. I know davis has an engine but sometimes surely a covering lb would be good.

Current form 7pts from last six. Maintain that over next 18 games and we end up with 37 pts. A good chance that will be enough but we mustn’t drop points against teams in the bottom six or seven.

It was so key to get the lack of home win off our back, though. As disheartening as the errors from today are, the results are the right way round.
