His career has taken a real battering. No club for the 23/24 season and then this. Whilst none of us thought he was going to be a superstar I think most would agree he looked a solid lower league full back. Did really well on loan in Scotland (Aberdeen) which is probably about right.

Decent enough mid to lower League one left back so it's a shame how his career has gone.
Some of the Cook signings (Penney, Haroper, Pigott etc) who didn't make the grade must look at where we are just a couple of years later with envy and regret. |

Missed that penalty against Burton early on in the season. Never seemed to get over that.
Having just looked up that game, Penney have away their penalty for their winner.

I've spoken to one of Piggott's best mates and Joe didn't see himself as good enough Ipswich in League 1. So probably no regret as he saw League 2 as his top level. |
