It must be getting fairly close to the final straw, besides the League Cup performance

Are Spurs relegation contenders? on 14:37 - Jan 19 with 1472 views | Trequartista | If they go any lower they'll probably sack their manager in bring in someone who will get the necessary points. Maybe someone who used to be a coach there and took three points at the Tottenham Stadium earlier this season.

This is it. Clubs can still afford to have a shocker of a season and be comfortably safe. It's how Palace have managed to wrangle their way to 12th. The teams at the bottom just aren't good enough to pull other teams into the battle.

Are Spurs relegation contenders? on 14:53 - Jan 19 with 1167 views | TresBonne | Wow, 3-0 to Everton. If it gets any worse this could be Ange's final straw.
Are Spurs relegation contenders? on 14:53 - Jan 19 with 1166 views | Nutkins_Return | No chance. Needed them beating Everton today. Ange will get the sack and they will get some injured players back and finish on 50 points or so.

I would be a little concerned that they might call for McKenna too. Hopefully if they did he might choose to stay but could see him going. I also would have expected Everton to be far more a relegation candidate and an injury to Pickford would affect them a lot. EDIT: I think Moyes is an appointment that will keep Everton safe too. A shame they didn't go for Rooney. [Post edited 19 Jan 14:56]

It looks like a 3 way battle for 17th currently

Think it's between us and wolves. Everton got moyes West ham got potter Spurs will get better. Squads to good overall I reckon. Wolves took a risk with their new manager. And without cunha they aren't that good

Unfortunately, I make you right. Realistically I think it was between the bottom 5 and Moyes' appointment should see Everton safe. It would be highly amusing if Man Utd or Spurs proved us wrong, though!

I doubt Spurs have the humility to consign themselves to being a "project" and getting in a manager who's still learning the top level, and I doubt Kieran's rash enough to think he'd need to jump to a job like that now when it'll almost certainly be up for grabs again every 18 months until Spurs address what a basket case they are.
