Could Carlton Morris be an option 22:58 - Jan 26 with 2969 viewsitfc1108

Fairly similar style to Delap, and could come on for him a few minutes earlier in games than of late, in order to keep Delap fresh.
Also gives the option to bring on Hirst as well, if we are behind.

We've loaned out Al Hamadi so the likelihood of bringing someone new in must be very high. I'd guess that we are in a chain right now (ie. If blank club get blank striker then they'll move blank striker on).

We need a striker who can help us now but who'd also be able to make a mark in the Championship (if we end up relegated). Preferably not a loan unless it's from a top club for 6 months.

Carlton Morris did score 11 goals and 4 assists in the Premier League last season; good stats at that level. Scored 1 goal (approximately) in every 3 games.

I've been saying his name all window. Some think we should be looking at better, but I think he would be a good fit.

NO, just did some digging as previously wondered this but he is former scum and his goal record premier league season aside is less than average.

He really isn’t. He’s immobile and too static, he’s a pure target man and doesn’t fit the profile of striker we have got in previously.

If the answer is Carlton Morris I do not want to know the question.

I don't think so, especially on a permanent contract; but if we are late on Deadline Day, and still no new centre forward has arrived, I would rather have him in the building than go with just our 2 options up front for the rest of the season.
There are question marks over Hirst's fitness & Delap has been overused for a young guy in his first full season, so there is every chance that at least one of them will miss a few weeks, or be out of form, over the coming months.
Having someone who has scored goals in the PL is certainly an improvement on Ali, who has undoubtedly struggled.

What’s the fascination with the Luton “strikers” ?

Honestly, I do not get it at all. They’re crap.

Given the dearth of available number 9's about, I worry he's the type of player we might end up with though as the window draws on. Got PL experience, better than Al-Hamadi but not better than Hirst. I hope I am wrong.

Being honest, the only times I've seen him was on match of the day last season, and I thought that he looked a handful. I was just trying to think of somebody who could give Delap a break, and occupy defenders, to allow the 10s and other forwards to have more of an impact, later on in games, and higher up the pitch.
I'm sorry I didn't realise that he had been discussed a lot as well.

Scored 11 goals in a side that were relegated last season. If we could have a player as cr@p as him in, then I wouldn't be unhappy.

he played up top in a 2 with 2 battering rams, he's not mobile enough for what we would need. The fact Luton are trying to bring in Kone from Wycombe says it all.
