Almost sad that I no longer have a twitter account to like this and wish him well.

He was great on the pitch for us, but his work with the foundation deserves real respect.

Hope we see him again next season, in the Premier league obviously!

Slightly strange to see that comment. Doesn't reflect brilliantly on our fan base, but I suppose every fan base boos.

Who on gods green earth booed him, and more importantly when?! Other than the first 6 months shambles under Cook, he’s been a class act for McKenna whenever he’s played.

Strange fan base at times.

This is what we should be about.

Players, Staff and Fans being proud to be part of this Club. We lost our way as a Club, lost our identity both on and off the pitch.

If anything illustrates that we are back to where we need to be, as a Club, it's this.

Players will always come and go, it's part and parcel of the game and inevitable but to see players come and join us, improve both personally and professionally and be in a better place when they leave is all, as fans, we can ask.

I thought that too!

I also miss it when I’m trying to figure out why my train has stopped for 1/2 an hour.

Miss George. Good lad.

No need to, as anything relevant to ITFC will be posted here and you can see it without giving the c**** any clicks. Everyone’s a winner (except him hopefully). I reckon is took me several months to break the doom clicking cycle on Twitter. I’ve only replaced it with here, but I’m fairly sure Phil isn’t a fascist vvanker.

That’s nice. A lovely mention for the Foundation too. We really do go out of our way to find not just good footballers, but also (more importantly imo) good people.

Good luck George, it’s been a pleasure.

I can only think it was a microscopic minority on a very rare occasion - but it goes to show, these things do stick with players, and we should pay attention to that.
