I’m seeing a positive in all this 17:47 - Feb 1 with 1593 viewsVic

We know that McKenna is a good manager. But his stock probably hasn’t risen much this season so maybe there’s less chance that he’ll be snaffled by another club in the summer!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

I was convinced he would be Spurs manager next season. Not so sure now.

Makes no odds. KMc is clearly very very talented. He will be touted yet again this summer and if the interest is from a club that matches his ambitions, then we may well lose him.
That said, I have full confidence that MA already has a portfolio of potential and suitable candidates.

Vincent Kompany. That's all I'll say.

His stock has gone down fractionally imo but there are no decent managers in the market. When the merry go round starts he'll get a Spurs or another established Prem side.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
Poll: At present who do you think you'll vote for?

This is constantly cited as the example here.

Kompany is known the world over for being the leader and captain of a four time Premier League winning side and one of the most famous clubs in the world.

Kompany went to Bayern on the back of that rather than what happened with Burnley.

Agreed Kompany's fame has helped him out, but McKenna is not unknown to say, Man Utd, Chelsea, or Brighton where he was considering his options at the beginning of the season. He will not struggle for a move considering they wanted him on the back of L1/ Championship promotions.

It's also the one time this has happened that anyone can ever name, but it's cited as if it happens all the time.

Choosing to ignore tone but I do feel that if an example of something has happened then it can be stated as an example of something that's happened.

KOMPANY got the job because he was a top top player unlike McKenna.

Not talented enough to find a viable goalkeeper for the season.

The one real mistake I’d say. Other than that what else?

If the worst happens, we could do a lot worse than Danny Röhl.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

It's a spurious comparison .... Kompany's football background is completely different to KM who never played first team professional football.

Kompany was capped 89 times by Belgium and captained Man City to a domestic treble.

There's no way KM could walk into a Champions League dressing room and command the required respect of players with big egos if we got relegated.
