but I thought Hutchinson, Enciso, Philogene and to a lesser extent Delap were very wasteful with the ball today, tried to do too much themselves when team mates were available and ultimately turning the ball over.
Equally, we don't hold the ball in midfield well enough way too many turnovers from Morsy in particular. |  |

In the first half I agree.
Much more selfish and wasteful in the second half. At one stage early in the second half he fashioned space for himself and could have played a 5 yard pass to Enciso on the edge of the box in acres of space but instead ran wide and shot from an angle he was never going to score from. From that point on the entire front four seemed to be trying to outdo each other in the selfishness stakes. |
Their winner came from delap being greedy. But he was far from the only one. Very frustrating as we got in so many promising positions. |  | | |

Yes, fully agree - we created a lot of promising positions, but these often broke down due to 1 or 2 too many touches, rather than pass /shooting. Hutch did this often - has to learn that he’ll have less time in the Premier League.
Now Morsy - who has been great for us, never stops and leads superbly. He was too slow today - in decision making, passing and closing down. He wasn’t terrible, but neither was he on the money. This has been evident for a few games. We need to be quicker developing through the midfield. He needs to be rested, and Philips/Cajuste given a run. |  | | |

Yeah really not sure what has happened to our attacking play since the early part of the season. Imo we just look hesitant in the final third and invariably make the wrong decision. Whilst playing against Villa, Fulham and Leicester, for example, we looked much more decisive and threatening when we moved through the thirds. Is it just a confidence issue or something else because to my eye it sure looks like we have regressed. |
I think we miss Szmodics as well as someone with Chaplins enthusiasm/energy , also was Broadhead running out of energy , as he was having a decent game IMO. | | | |

I don't agree with Delap at all, and think that's a by harsh on Enciso.
Hutchinson on the other hand looks shot, no confidence at all and currently offering us zero end product.
