I'm surprised no one has questioned the GK coach 11:34 - Feb 2 with 2436 viewsCrockerITFC

Both GKs seem bereft of confidence and ideas. Maybe our focus is entirely in the wrong area

People can argue that about the manager too. The keepers are following his game plan.

No we can't call out McKenna. How entitled are our fan base? To call out the guy who got us here from absolutely nowhere is frankly audacious.

In what sense is Walton bereft of confidence or ideas? He had one moment kicking the ball out for a corner, but that was after being being absolutely clattered by Jao Pedro IIRC.

I think Muric will need a psychologist going into this run of games. He's lost the crowd and he looks a bag of spiders.

Do they? Muric does but not Walton.

But let's blame everyone we can.

It’s not entitlement, he’s the manager and the keeper is playing the way he’s instructed and it’s also not entirely on the goalkeeper or his coaches. We’re playing McKennas system in this league and we’re struggling. Why can’t that be analysed as an issue? Why would we question the goalkeeper coach before the manager?

Gamechanger's money, the biggest budget by far in L1, played a huge part. Still only came second. KM wouldn't have come anywhere near us if we didn't have more money than everyone else in the division.
All we can say for sure is that he was a better L1 manager than Cook and did better than expected in the Champ, taking advantage of Leeds falling apart again and again.

I was there when McKenna's ITFC won in the Premier League at Home. Fewest home wins and equal most home defeats in a season in ITFC history.

We are allowed to question some of his decisions in a sensible, rational way. You can’t shut down total debate.

KMc has clearly got some things wrong this season - which I’m sure he will admit.

Calls for his head are ludicrous, but he’s not blame free. Some of the signings, the subs and tactics have been unusual/miscalculated and that’s ok to say.

He’s also in his first season at this level and is a huge talent. We’re lucky to have him, but he’s not untouchable.

Because Muric can’t make a relatively simple save, throw or kick the ball with any degree of accuracy.

Both GKs seem bereft of confidence... I'm surprised no one has questioned the fans! The noise when Muric had the ball at his feet yesterday was extremely unhelpful

This is up there with one of the weirdest takes I’ve seen on this forum in the last 24 hours (and there has been some competition). KM definitely got lucky last season with our promotion from the champ, scraping it with a mere 96 points and 6 defeats all season.

I don't think the game plan is to pass the ball to the opposition or let in soft goals.

Yeah, but we only finished 2nd in League 1 remember with a measly 98 points and only 101 goals scored.

Not so weird if you look at his/her/their posting history - plenty of posts questioning KM. Perhaps they expected us to be in a European place by now; who knows.

I thought things might have calmed down a little on here by now but still plenty of entitled nonsense being posted.

Walton had a pretty strange game against Brighton full stop, the Mitoma shot shouldn't have squirmed past him either and his kicking was all over the place

He'd generally been fairly solid up to that point in fairness to him

I totally agree with that as far as throw-ins are concerned.

As we're so data-based I wonder if they've done stats on what % of OUR throw-ins cause us to lose possession. That number would be very high.

Is that all we can say for sure?

No, it's not.

There were many teams with a bigger budget, and residual high transfer fee players from prior seasons in both Premier League and Championship, than Ipswich had in 23-24.

McKenna massively over performed last season.

Par would have been 8th to 12th, based on squad value and budget.

Not that complicated.
Unfortunately Muric is a floored genius,
I know professionals in the game disregard fans opinions but you only had to check the burnley fans comments,100% spot on.

I can see Slicker getting a run if he plays a blinder at Coventry. That plus he is the best of the three with his feet.

I think the coach is the same coach who coached Hladky, and there were no problems there.
