Tomorrow's lineup and KM thoughts 22:03 - Feb 7 with 1362 viewsFrimleyBlue

I do get and agree that cup games are usually the best times to give fringe players minutes.

However with us already having used 31 players this season.. and having a week before villa.. would it possibly be better this time playing the lineup in mind for next week to get a bit of a consistent side going. ( minus I think Julio and philogene as cup tied?

I wouldn't suggest a full game of it. But perhaps the 60 and then bring on the fringe players or finishers rather for that final period.

I think the keeper choice will be interesting and if Palmer is the potential new no.1 i think he has to go into tomorrow's game. Get him going with the way KM wants him to play immediately rather than potentially throwing him in next week only..

What's you thoughts. Yes we know KM will do what he feels is best. But I'm intrigued of your personal thoughts on what you'd do.

...we played our strongest team possible (within reason) but he's already said that he's going to rotate.

Which is disappointing.

It's plainly just to give players minutes, because it's hardly a busy schedule.

Oh well.

Philogene isn't cup-tied.

I don't think it's worth risking injuring our first teamers, I also don't think it's worth going with Palmer if he's not going to be playing with our first choice defence. Give him an extra week to settle in and bond with the defenders he will be playing with.

I don't agree that FA Cup 4th round matches are for fringe players.

We need a strong team out there tomorrow, a loss could be really morale sapping for players and fans alike.

Play the strongest side, or at least something approaching that, its another week until our next game.

Haven't got a game for a week he won't but it should be our strongest team, his rotation risks a loss,
He will get pelters won't do any good for this squad loosing,
I know it's a cup game, lose and all confidence( if we still have much left) will drain and just add to our demise,

Yep. I'd rather we used these cup games as an opportunity to build some momentum. Our current form needs a huge shot in the arm.

I would play the first team apart from Morsy/Delap (rest them) and Enciso (cup tied).

Truly impaired.

Football at this level, is all about utilising the whole squad not just the preferred First choice players.
This is also a team that has been decimated by injuries to key players, effective use of the Second string is more necessary than ever.

Agreed. I’d go relatively full strength, full tilt to try and win and take momentum to Villa Park. We need to find something to speak form.

Don't agree with 11 changes, no momentum,
Even if we win,
He changes at least 8 next week no momentum,
Apart from the goalie obviously, poor tactics,
