So in a security conference JD Vance weighed in with criticism of EU and U.K. for free speech, democracy and immigration. We are told there’s a ‘new sheriff in town’. Some of his points may even have merit but it was the wrong moment and place to say them.
How dare he lecture people in that way. Oh, and by the way, the orange idiot isn’t sheriff of Munich or Europe just yet so do one deputy sheriff Vance - and eye shadow is not a good look btw.
The irony of this berk throwing his weight around as Trumps mini me is that according to Reuters in 2016 he called the orange orangutan an "idiot" and said he was "reprehensible." Privately, he compared him to Adolf Hitler.
So democracy: his boss tried through civil unrest to overthrow a democratic election in 2021.yep, I see the democracy there…not. He clearly thinks it’s fine to negotiate a surrender of Ukraine without them being in the room or anyone else. Has Trump criticised Putin? No. Because they are besties. Fine but don’t lecture on democracy.
Trumps only interest is mineral deposits. He wants every last dollar back and cares not a jot about Ukraine people any more than the disgusting piece of dirt scuttling about in Moscow does. For the record, European aid has been double that of the US and I don’t see them scrabbling around for the loot. At least not in public. Nothing changes.
Who got all the contracts at the end of the Iraq war that we stupidly supported? Oh the US. Who left the rest of the supporting countries in the lurch at the end of the Afghanistan mess? The US. Who raped this country for every last penny of aid in WW2 and much more besides - a lot of it for rubbish like clapped out destroyers, Lightnings without superchargers and Brewster Buffalo death traps? Oh yeah, the US.
And in terms of the land of the free and the rubber faced freak whose busy dismantling democracy and the state in the US I noticed Musk’s SpaceX were granted a $40m defence contract on Tuesday. So while he’s busy chucking cancer research contracts, USAID etc etc in the bin, he is soaking up public money for his toys.
You couldn’t make it up.
Do one Trump 🖕

I like the part where the Arab nations are completely ignoring him and developing their own plan for the Palestinians. You can imagine them doing the Arab equivalent of collective eye rolls every time Trump’s name comes up.

this seems to be the best way of dealing with him; make your own plans.
he'll probably get bored before he enacts many of these things, and his people will probably distract him from the more impossible things, by pointing out something shiny...

Add me think it would be best if Trump lasted a full term.
Vance is probably a more competent if exceptionally weird politician than Trump, but he'd ultimately be hamstring by the fact that he doesn't have the baffling allure that the Nazi Worst has and he'd be wanting to settle scores with the King Of The Incels for effectively sidelining him.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
Pretty rich to give a lecture on sovereignty and democracy when you work for a man who’s willing to sell Ukraine down the river and attempted a coup to overturn the presidential election because he didn’t like the result.
Interesting to see the Reformers suddenly liking foreign politicians telling us what to do.

It’s Julia Hartley-Brewer, but she for once gives Reform the disrespect they deserve
