over 30 years for sure, maybe longer if you include the electrification projects in the mid 80s, though they were weirdly less disruptive.
they only seem to get as far as Chelmsford before having to go back to Liverpool St and starting again. and building that new station on the line doesnt help either.
but when you look at the stuff to do north of Chelmsford they could have work to do for the next 40-50years easily I reckon without even tackling some of the big stuff like Haughley junction, Trowse, Ely north upgrades. | | | |
