A win would be a huge boost and keep hope alive for another week, but there’s never a must win again, until the maths dictate it in the last week or so of the season.
Sadly I have to admit that my reaction to whatever we do is affected by what Wolves do as well.
If we win and they lose, I’m ecstatic.
If we win and they win/draw, I’m just relieved
If we lose and they win I’m in despair again.
Rinse and repeat each week. I guess saying that we’d be happy with 17th it was always going to be like this, but boy it’s a roller coaster of emotions. |  |

I suppose it's a language interpretation thing, and personality dependant. I think of 'must win' in pretty literal terms, i.e. if it was a mathematical necessity, or close to a mathematical necessity - and of course it is absolutely nowhere near that, because there are a lot of games left in which a lot of unpredictable things can happen for us, Wolves Leicester and even Southampton.

Losing to Southampton was our previous performance at home. Villa away yes fantastic point but a game where we were expected to get nothing. I think the home crowd for most part is OK but the team need to do their part.
I see no real leaders on the pitch, no huge celebrations from players collectively when we score and dropped heads rather than rallying calls when we concede. Watch the last 5 mins of Bayern v Celtic, watch goalies reaction after Bayern score to other players.
We were a team built on spirit and momentum and we have lost both of those components this year which is why we are where we are. | | | |

Have you seen Spurs' squad though? On paper, they're at least an equal of Villa in attack with players returning. Defensively slightly more suspect but nine times out of ten they should beat us. We should have no expectations but to go down there and sing our hearts outs for 90+ minutes. | |

Utter nonsense, we are where we are because you don't become a Premier League team overnight and the gap between PL and Championship far bigger than before, and is getting bigger year on year.
The team and manager is young, hungry and learning, but if we had not done the recruitment we have, we would most likely be below Southampton now. Generally the atmosphere at PR this season has been great, but i wonder whether it also raises the level of the opponent as there aren't many traditional football grounds like ours in the PL.
